Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, criticized Tuesday the “strange” remarks made by a senior European official who claimed that the European Union did not require “Sputnik-V” and who has pledged to get vaccinated.
In a meeting that was shown on television, he declared: “We are not compelling anyone to take any action (…), but we question what interests these individuals are defending, and are they connected to pharmaceutical companies or to the interests of European citizens?” mentioning that he will receive the shot on Tuesday
