U.S. President Joe Biden said Tuesday that authorities are still “unaware” of much information about the perpetrator of the Colorado attack that killed 10 people, including a police officer
Biden added, in a brief speech to reporters at the White House, “I’ll have a lot to say as soon as I have more information about the attack and its perpetrator,” noting that “I expect more information about the shooter and his motives. . ”
He stressed that the White House is working closely with local authorities to get the latest developments on the attack.

Biden urged Congress to take action to control arms acquisitions, saying the issue “should not be partisan.”
The US president called on Congress to ban large-capacity ammunition magazines as well as offensive weapons
Al-Hurra correspondent reported that Biden ordered flags to be flown at half-staff for five days of mourning for the victims of the Colorado shooting.
On Monday afternoon, a gunman killed 10 people, including a police officer, in a store in the city of Boulder, in the U.S. state of Colorado, which had witnessed the two worst massacres in American history.
Witnesses said they first heard gunshots inside the “King Supers” store in Boulder, which is home to about 110,000 people and is located 30 miles northwest of Denver, the capital of west-central Colorado.
According to U.S. media reports, the shooter fired an AR-15 machine gun, a very common weapon in the United States that has been used by a large portion of mass murderers in the country.
Colorado State Attorney Michael Dougherty said Tuesday that the “Boulder” attack bomber was named, 21-year-old Ahmed Al-Alaiwi Al-Issa.
The district attorney said Ahmed is a resident of Arvada, Cor Colorado, who has lived most of his life in the United States.
Ahmed is facing 10 counts of first-degree murder, according to Maris Herolide, the city’s police chief, according to a CNN report.
The incident follows an attack last week in which a gunman killed eight people at Asian massage parlors in Atlanta, Ga.
