The draw for the tenth Arab Cup, which was withdrawn today, Tuesday, in the Qatari capital, Doha, resulted in fierce clashes, after the Saudi team faced its Moroccan counterpart, as well as the Algerian national team, against its Egyptian counterpart.
And the result of the spell is fierce; The first group included the national team of Qatar (the organizer of the tournament), along with Iraq, the winner of the match between Oman and Somalia, and the winner of Bahrain and Kuwait, while the second group included Tunisia, the Emirates, and Syria, and the winner of Mauritania and Yemen.
The third group included Morocco and Saudi Arabia, the winner against Jordan and South Sudan, and the winner against Palestine and Comoros, while the fourth group included; Algeria, Egypt, the winner’s teams from Lebanon and Djibouti, and the winner from Libya and Sudan.
The tournament will be held from December 1 to 18, under a joint organization of FIFA and the Arab Football Association, and it will be held in 6 of the stadiums of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
The draw ceremony was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Arab Football Association, Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation (FIFA), and Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatari Federation.
Stars Wael Gomaa (Egypt), Nawaf Al-Tamyat (Saudi Arabia), Haitham Mustafa (Sudan), and Younis Mahmoud (Iraq) took part in the lottery draw, along with Manola Zubira, FIFA’s director of competitions.
